Majun Turbad

Majun Turbad is a time-tested classical Unani formulation manufactured by Dawakhana Hakim Ajmal Khan. The elective is named after its chief ingredient, Turbud (Operculina turpethum), which is revered in Greco-Arabic medicine as a powerful agent for expelling morbid humors, particularly Balgham (Phlegm) and Sauda (Black Bile), from the deepest tissues of the body.

This formulation acts as a potent Mushil-e-Balgham (Purgative of Phlegm). In Unani philosophy, many chronic pains such as sciatica, rheumatism, and gout are caused by the accumulation of cold, moist humors in the joints and nerves. Majun Turbad effectively cleanses the system by purging these toxins through the bowels. Combined with warming herbs like Ginger and Ispand, it provides rapid relief from nerve-related pain and chronic constipation.
