Noshadar Thikri (Ammonium Chloride / Sal Ammoniac)

Noshadar Thikri, chemically identified as Ammonium Chloride () and known historically in Greco-Arabic alchemy as Sal Ammoniac, is a natural crystalline mineral salt obtained either through volcanic sublimates or traditional artisanal preparation. In Unani and Greco-Arabic medicine, Noshadar holds an exceptional position among the mineral drugs (Advia Madaniyya) and is classified as having a Hot and Dry (Garm-o-Khushk, 3rd degree) temperament.
