About the Product
Kalathi Dana, botanically designated as Macrotyloma uniflorum (syn. Dolichos biflorus) of the Fabaceae (Leguminosae) family, consists of the small, flattened, reddish-brown to grey-mottled seeds of an ancient climbing pulse. In Unani and Greco-Arabic medicine, Kalathi Dana holds a distinguished status among the sovereign lithontriptic (Mufattit-e-Hasat) and deobstruent (Mufatteh Sudad) remedies, classified as having a Hot and Dry (Garm-o-Khushk, 2nd to 3rd degree) temperament. Highly praised for its deep penetrating warmth, astringency, and scraping (Jali / Qashir) properties, it is celebrated by classical Tabibs as the ultimate botanical for disintegrating hard urinary calculi, opening stubborn renal and visceral blockages, expelling excess cold phlegmatic humors (Balgham), and scraping away morbid visceral adiposity.
