The main ingredient of Majun Dabeed-ul-Ward is Gul Surkh (Rosa Damascena mill), traditionally used in Unani Medicinal System for years as a dietary supplement for liver enlargement, inflammation of the liver and to treat other liver disorders. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is classified as build up of fats in the hepatic tissue that exceeds 5–10% of its actual weight and size in the absence of extensive ethanol consumption and refers to a variety of linked disorders.
